Russia and Ukraine, he needs to straddle the fence, pretty much right down the middle and not look like an ally of Ukraine against Putin.
Let's assume that's true, and that's what Trump was doing.
Further, let's assume that American negotiators with T-shirt boy told T-shirt boy, that that had to be our position. That peace was only achievable if The United States was seen as an unbiased, impartial third-party, and was not on one side ganging up against the other.
It would be difficult to believe that that did not come up in negotiations and conversations with the Utes.
Those two things being true, I think that makes T-shirt boy the ass hole.
If the guy who is wink, wink, neutral, but supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and safety tells tee shirt boy that he has to walk a fine line with Russia, maybe that bearded, poorly dressed little fluck would understand what's going on and not try to negotiate a better deal in front of TV cameras worldwide.
I still think Trump and to a large extent Vance were boorish and bullying, and it could have been done more diplomatically.
But that's how Trump does things.
