aid, as if that is going to bring peace.
The US has poured hundreds of billions of $ into Ukraine, supplied "advisors", advanced weapons systems with the men to man them and to train the Ukrainians on how to use them, logistical support, including through Starlink and Russia is still grinding them down. Ukraine is on the verge of military collapse. Soldiers are deserting at an alarming rate.
Ukraine and everyone else needs to admit they lost and "cry uncle" to stop the beat down. Anything else is not just a criminal waste of vast resources, but of the violent deaths of thousands more, the serious wounding of many more thousands and further destruction of their infrastructure, and loss of more land.
The US has allegedly been paying twice as much as Europe has. If the US walks away from the stupidity of continuing on Europe would have to triple their donations and far more "advisors" just to keep the status quo... the further grinding down of a depleted and defeated Ukrainian army by a far larger foe.
Good luck with that. Europe has been dependent upon Russian gas for quite some time, though now that dependence has been shifted to emergency supplies from the US. The citizens are already screaming about the inflation and large increase in energy prices... and the resultant drop in production at least partially because of the high cost of fuel needed in the production process. They're laying off a lot of auto workers even as they're struggling to adjust to the huge influx of unskilled immigrants.
I don't think they're even close to ready to take on Russia in a war.
They need to come to grips with reality. Hopefully sooner rather than later when the costs will be so much higher for them.
