watch the whole meeting, from the start. Trump was very complimentary of Ukraine and Zelensky. It was clear this was a ceremonial meeting for the press announcing the upcoming agreements and the hope for coming peace and the end of the war. Trump clearly intended for any detailed negotiations and demands to be done in their private meeting.
It was Zelensky that went into details and started spouting off, and publicly stating what needed to be in the agreement and what the US needed to do and how the US needed to provide this, that and the other thing.
Zelensky wanted to get his terms into the deal and publicly put Trump on the spot by saying there will be no compromises from Ukraine. Really? Libs, it was Trump who wanted these talks to be in private and Zelensky is the one who was making things difficult.
He wanted to pin the US down publicly. When he crossed the line and made a threat against the United States, Trump had had enough.
