Not sure, have checked it only superficially. Russia had more casualties, but had more males in the population in 1939, i believe.
To a great extent, europe has been neutered.
Masculinity has been labeled as toxic and gaze are now the chosen ones.
The american military has spent most of the last decade feminizing itself. There was an article over a decade ago by a dook professor lamenting the toxic masculinity in the american military. We need more women generals, admirals and commanders in chief. We need women in combat so soldiers can fight more civilized wars.
We need more gaze.
All of this leaves the question unanswered about why the french have always been pansies.
