1970's style GOTCHA films.
You know the ones, with the hot-shot attorney and the super-clever criminal and all the technicalities of the law and the bad guy ready for every move the good guy makes.
Whole thing really sells the reality of judges and cops and detectives and lawyers and DAs really being hard as nails and fighting within the confines of a strict system: THE RULE OF LAW.
My God, how funny it must have been to the 'upper echelons' of our 'civilization' as they hacked and thieved and murdered their way through life, all while the public watched these ridiculous movies and read the newspapers.
We've really been played - HARD.
