b/c some people are told what to believe and they follow b/c they have no compass of their own. They all go to one side. Everyone else who doesn't have that problem goes the other way.

In truth, Grove is wrong. Most people really do centralize on a bell curve. It's just that messaging and the ouchy of the day makes it seem like everyone is further apart than they are.
