That's all part of it but the rise in prices started with massive supply chain disruptions. Case in point, the rental car industry sold off a lot of their inventory when nobody was travelling leaving few rentals available when commerce and travel began in earnest again with much higher prices per rental. My experience was with the oil industry and we simply quit drilling wells during covid due to low demand for the product (hence low price) and health concerns (drill sites are closed in, close quarter communities) and oil production started to plummet a few months later with the absence of replacement wells (and it got worse when people started leaving the industry).
Price inflation was not all due to government spending.
