Hopefully that doesn't happen, but it certainly could be the case for the next couple of days or so. Strong, dry Santa Anna winds coming, possibly causing the fire to spread south towards San Diego.
The first minute or two of this video details what's coming for California... the rest details the cold weather coming for everyone else through most of January.
