... dump offs, and easy completions just to keep the % up. Chase was looking downfield for the biggest gain, usually found it, and usually completed it. Far cry from today's game, both in pro and college.
Ewers QB rating of 149 this year... is higher than Chase in 2007, when Chase was one of 4 Heisman finalists.
Yet, in 2025, due to the different offensive era... that only ranks 25th and there are 50 QBs with a rating of 140 or higher.
It just isn't even useful to use QB ratings.... TD - Int ratios 18 years apart when the game has completely changed
