How many players go into the NFL draft isn't an accurate measure of which conference is the best "top to bottom"

In fact quite the opposite. Most of the best players come from the top of the conference.

So all we really have left is things like records particularly head to head records. Performance metrics like rankings, number of teams in the playoffs, playoff success, and so on. And in each of those metrics the B1G has come out on top this year.

Its okay, it really isn't going to affect you if the SEC isn't actually the best conference in football this year.
