Frame-limited without much space for too much additional bulk, but is thickly-built. However, consistently compensates for lack of size with excellent instincts, playmaking ability, and football IQ. Flashes impressive closing speed when attacking the ball. Unafraid to crash downhill against the run. Tackling machine who arrives with a purpose. Big hitter with arriving power far greater than listed size suggests. Adequate tester with better play speed. Very competitive in coverage and has shown ability to outmuscle receivers for the ball. A 2018 injury may raise an eyebrow. Missed virtually entire senior year with ACL tear. Occasionally sacrifices tackle technique for the big hit. Size concerns will always be there, especially in coverage matchups with big receivers. Needs to add some fluidity and short-area quick-twitch to maximize coverage ability. Straight-line burst is good, but can improve top-end long speed. Bottom line: true football player who's a ballhawking playmaker compensating for lack of size with instincts, ball skills, and competitiveness. Won't fit the traditional profile of an NFL Draft prospect, but potential to work his way to that level.
