Actually, acknowledging the fact that he died on the cross for your sins and was resurrected from the dead so that you can have eternal life is revealed by your actions. However , no one is perfect and that we are all guilty of sin and we live in a corrupt world and have developed corrupt ideas still guarantees his promise to us if we fail. If you want directions on how to follow him, read the sermon on the mount and the beatitudes. Very simple. I am personally against Capital punishment because we live in an unjust society with a money governed legal system. Racist as well. Abortion is a philosophical issue. When does life begin, and what does it matter?
