perhaps our history, though Nixon's win in '68 was awfully tight. The power of dis-information and of social media in general is at play here as well. Trump, Maga and the GOP do so favor a fact-free world.

Case in point is the fact that Trump lost the election in 2020 by a healthy margin and there was no cheating or stealing from the opposition party of any note whatsoever. Yet, Trump and the GOP go on and on about that election being stolen. Trump IS a brilliant con, no question about that.
