Yielded little change, we had the coaches...but needed funding, structure, and commonsense. Coach Larry Smith deserves alot of credit for the basics..he does..then Alden...flaws and all...slowly started righting the ship..finally Gary got it done after awhile...still a shame how he had to leave. Mind you, our football program was clean..or barely dusty..compared to the other programs of the era when it came to buying players, or admitting athletes that atleast had a 6 on the ACT. So yes...very proud of Eli for piecing it back together and basically inventing state laws on NIL. This team won 5 games in the final minutes, and Boston College was a bit snug too. We were one wrapped up tackle at South Carolina from sitting on the fringe of the playoffs...even though our performance was not a top 10 season. It's not easy.
