Yeah, amazing. When Pinky brought his staff from Toledo Matt was linebackers coach So he was already promoted from MAC to the big 12
Then when Our new DC was chosen as Toledo HC, rather than go outside his little club to find a big 12 coordinator, Gary promoted him to defensive coordinator
effectively double promoted within days.
Of course he had to be fired to be gone, not snatched up by someone else
