IDK the answer to that. Obama was in office twice the time Trump was. Obama appears to be a decent enough man, but his political tactics are to really stretch for a five yard gain rather than going long.
Unfortunately, there has been far too much emotion injected into the issue of immigrants and that emotion has muddied the waters. And IF Trump were to get the results that he promised his supplicants, both the agriculture and construction industries in this country would be severely impacted. And - what I don't get is why people feel so wrought up about it beyond some base level xenophobic impulse.
