So first, let me start by saying I love Drink. I hope things pan out that he's here for the next 20 years. I think the recruiting and culture he's building is phenomenal. Personally, I love the guy and think he's a great ambassador for the university.
That said, one pet peeve of mine is I think he's just so thin-skinned on comments from the media/twitter. He started in again last night by effectively giving the media a mini-lecture on comments about Pyne. He wasn't in full "Gundy" mode like he was w/ fans booing Cook, but clearly made it a point to call them out. Granted, I haven't read every article out there on Mizzou football but I read all the mainstream stuff and I haven't seen anything that would merit this (Twitter yes, but nothing from the main stream media). Yes, people wrote that he didn't play well at Bama. Guess what... he didn't!
He keeps talking that all this team worries about is what is said and thought inside the 4 walls of the practice facility. My advice would be then actually just do that, quit worrying about twitter and the media. I just don't think it puts him or the program in a positive light being so upset about comments from people not even associated w/ the program. I didn't even care for the Stoops call out. Who cares about freking Bob Stoops! They will just use it as bulletin board material when we go to Norman next year.
Not sure how others feel, it just makes me cringe every time I see him do it.
