that the federal government is supreme and should take care of everything and the states should fall in line. it is the result of the growth of the State into being just that. there is no knowledge or understanding of a union, a confederacy, a republic, or federalism. there is no understanding that each state is an independent entity, no matter how silly and full of **** the concept is. people are easily manipulated and this is at least 150+ years of it.
