acknowledge it. I've met a few very brilliant people in my life, none have been arrogant, all have been engaging and eager to learn and listen and quick to admit ignorance and mistakes.

It's the mass of people floating around in the first and second deviations on the good side of the IQ bell curve that produces the FIJIs and JGs of the world. Arrogance and overestimation of their intelligence uniting to create this unfortunate outcome.
