So he got out. Had he not acceded to that, they could not legally force him out. His cabinet was not going to vote him on - what the 25th amendment. Was not going to happen. He had run a very successful admin. Having a bad day or two is not cause for removal. So again, could not force him out. Obama, Pelosi, et al laid out to him the huge risk a Trump win would pose and showed him his likelihood of winning was very slim. He is in his eighties, time to leave the stage.
