How would that in any way be beneficial to him? Say what you want about him, but he is not afraid to go or appear anywhere (see his appearance in front of the black journalist conference, which Kamala dodged). But agreeing to another debate on a hostile network that he knows is going to do everything it can to make him look bad and prop her up makes no sense at all.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
