Here's how it plays out
1. Cap credit card interest rates
2. Credit card interest rates being lower, they can only offer credit now to those whose (low) risk justifies it. People with poor credit can now no longer obtain credit from credit card companies
(enter Democrats, with a government solution)
3. Big Government offers credit to those newly "disenfranchised" from credit card companies. Anyone can get credit.
4. This goes about as well as student loan repayments do. The government loses a **** ton of money loaning it to people who cannot/will not pay it back.
5. In the process of understanding they don't have to pay the government back, there's a lot of individual discretionary spending and prices (on consumer goods) go up.
