....could disagree with Bobby Kennedy about the health problems facing America today. It isn't a Democrat or Republican issue - it's an American issue - and until I listened to him explain the issue from his perspective, I don't think I knew how serious it was.
His comments on the health of America starts at about the 29:30 mark.

A couple of attention getters (there are many):
* USA spends more on healthcare than any country on earth
* We spend twice what European countries spend
* Yet, we have the worst health care outcomes of 76 countries in the world
* According to the CDC, USA has the sickest people on earth
* 2/3 of American adults and children suffer from chronic health issues
* 50 years ago, that statistic was 1%
* 74% of Americans are overweight or obese
* 50% of our children are overweight or obese
* In Japn, 3% of their children are overweight or obese
* 60 years ago, juvenile diabetes was effectively non-existent
* Today, 1 out of every 3 kids that walk into a pediatrician's office is either diabetic or pre-diabetic.
* In 2000, the autism rate in the USA was 1 in 1,500
* Today, it's 1 in 36 for kids; in California, it's 1 in 22 kids
* 18% of American teens have fatty liver disease - almost 1 in 5
* 50 years ago - fatty liver disease basically only affected older Americans with alcohol issues
* Cancer rates are skyrocketing in young and old in America
* Cancer is up 79% in adults in past 24 years
* 1 in 4 American women are on anti-depressant medication
* 40% of American teens have a mental health diagnosis
* Economic costs of chronic diseases are staggering - govt spending for chronic disease is double the miltary budget
* And speaking of the military, 77% of our kids are too disabled to serve in the military
Trump made a commitment to Bobby to put him in charge of turning our chronic health problems around - and he's got specific ideas on how to do that - and to do it quickly.
It's in the above link.
After listening to him detail his work on our health crisis for the past 20 years, I can see, at age 70, why he made the extremely difficult decision to endorse Trump - as in return, he will finally be in a position to save our kids and really, save our country.
Again, Democrat, Republican, Independent - if the facts that he shares are true (and he basically quotes the CDC and makes the point that there has been no change in diagnosis; no change in screening) - this is a war on the health of our kids and a war on American health.
Something absolutely has to change.
