It's almost as if Trump arrived to out an entire class of people who thought they had a 'good bead on things'.
People who always followed the leader, trusted the system, cross all the T's and dotted all the I's.
People who hoped that intellect and crowd-following could be successfully substituted for actual discernment.
The natural world just does not work that way and the mind is easily fooled.
