And funny you bring up the map b/c with the decades long financial and military support of the US and to a point sheer chutzpa of the Israeli state, that state has stolen much of the land Palestinians have/had known as their home for thousands of years. And if you want to go to maps, that entire entire area has been known as Palestine from then as well - even as recently as 50-100 years ago. What do you think the whole conflict is about bud?
