we truly just had a proud liberal make the argument that our economy is doing great outside of one factor. That factor is all the people struggling economically. And I am serious. It's just below.

I don't post this thread to try and humiliate anyone. Only that it is a stark example of why reasoning with emotionally based thinking won't work. It's why you cannot reason a 3 year old out of a temper tantrum. What they feel at the moment is their reality, and no fact or reason will change what they desire to be true. And the left panders and appeals to feelings better than anyone. It is why so many people are liberal while younger and get more conservative as they age.
