is to steal Ukrainian resources for our oligarchs and political elites. Should the Ukrainian Civil War lead to destabilization and/or break up of Russia, those resources will be put in play, as well.

Using your analogy, it is the Nazi element of the Ukraine that has broken into ethnic Russian Ukrainian homes and committed violent crimes against them. Do you expect Russia to stand off the side and watch Nazis take over the government and resources of the Ukraine?
