Wouldn't it be nice if a politician from one party saw value

A policy by a politician in the other party and adopted it?
The hard part for any politician would be, of course to give the other guy credit, and that won't happen.
But if the self-serving ass holes actually cared about the country, every once in a while, they would say, "he has a good idea. I think everyone should get behind it as I will."
Reagan had a saying, "it's amazing how much you can accomplish, if you don't care who gets the credit".
