I was there for the "god you're so rude not to say hi" to the end. I think that Trump thought that he is obviously so much smarter than Black Journalists that he could woo his way back into some good graces. Then faced with the hard-working and well-prepared journalists, he fell flat on his face. I did not some variation in audible crowd responses too but did not make anyting of it.
