Whether the changes were illegal and exactly what the US Constitution requires is debatable. As I recall, those issues were litigated through the courts.

But, ultimately you said “…Dems who suspended the US Constitution…” which is why I asked who, specifically, you believe did so. Are there some specific Dems, or just Dems in general?
