police about the guy climbing up the building, while wrestling with his rifle. It sounds like they were pointing the guy out for about 3 or 4 minutes before he ever fired.

As he notes, there is no excuse for the secret service to not have had someone on each of the 3(?) buildings around there.
Total dereliction of duty... unless it was deliberate & they had been told to do a half a$$ job.
