celebrate what they devised. I don't think they were fully aware of it.

They did warn about the importance of virtue among the citizenry in order to maintain an actually limited govt. That was certainly prescient, as today that virtue exists in about 2% of the citizenry and 0.1% of the major political party candidates.

The US govt is the largest govt in the history of humankind.
