handle things. If profits go up, more businesses will enter that market, or companies in that market will fight to ramp up their market share. That will drive down prices.
They will get to an equilibrium in due time.
The problem was the disruption. Those disruptions can work both ways. They can hammer profits. We saw that when the pandemic hit. Many businesses closed. Unfortunately, many family businesses were wiped out.
Communists would want to fix both issues. They would subsidize businesses and then set prices for them. It might look good on paper, but we have seen over and over and over again, that government run economies are FAR less efficient and productive than free market ones. The workers in communist countries are far worse off than their free market counterparts.
