ago a 'Land Man' representing a solar farm utility was visiting farmers in our County. He didn't offer much information, but indicated he was assigned to gauge landowner interest in participating in a solar energy farm his firm was considering. Cutting to the bottom line, he said they would offer $800/Acre/Year. He did not say how many acres were required per unit. I've read in farm magazines solar firms are paying as much as $1000/Acre. I'd have to think long and hard before committing, but they are blowing up the cash rent market.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
