The NFL only cares about the bottom line. If there are fewer people watching those games but the NFL is still getting more money they won't GAF.

Streamers are not reliant on ratings and advertisers like the broadcast networks. Netflix is okay losing money on these games if it gets them new subscribers who don't immediately cancel the next day. They will be making money from the Christmas day games next July from a number of people who subscribed for the game and never cancelled.
