since it was right after WW2 people minimized it. Soldiers freezing to death, the whole thing was a huge cluster you know what.
The interesting thing about my job is when I came into the field I was treating a lot of WW2 vets, and a few years later it was Korean war vets. A couple of decades later I passed through the Vietnam era vets. The WW2 vets didn't complain about anything and drank like fish for the most part (I guess the ones that survived to be old enough to come see me) and the Korean vets complained even less. I would describe the Vietnam vets as aloof. Obviously these are generalizations.
