Teams like Denver draft third round talent with the 12th pick because they made bad choices and have no cap room and no draft capital.

While they do that teams like the Chiefs and Niners are picking up guys in the seventh round that are leading them to championships.

There is a luck aspect to it but smart people always seem to be luckier for some unknown reason.
