free agency, this would fall in to that category or be close enough.
The Chiefs just won back to back SB's with well below average WR's and an aging TE this year. Reaching on WR/TE or trading up to get one high in the first round is a mistake. Signing WR's to gigantic FA contracts is also a huge mistake that a lot of teams are making.
Teams like Buffalo, Cincy, Houston, Miami, etc etc seem hell bent on surrounding their QB with a pro bowl supporting cast of skill position players. The goal seems to be more about their QB winning a MVP than the team winning a SB...nobody is investing in defense anymore.
