doesn't control the Senate. Usually what happens is an original deal is rejected, then the deal that winds up being passed is worse than the original. This is exactly what happened with McCarthy right before he was ousted. At this point, I'm convinced most in the GOP don't want to be in power. They'd rather have Jeffries be the speaker so they can b*tch a little more. What they're doing right now is strategically stupid.
