Trump is alleged to have conspired with his then attorney Michael Cohen to influence the American voter by keeping information (Trump affair with Stormy Daniels) from the public by paying for her silence and that Trump falsified official business records to conceal said payment as "legal fees" paid to Mr Cohen. Mr Trump signed several of these checks coincidentally while sitting in the Oval Office. Now, writing a check in the Oval per se is not a crime, but pretty telling in this case. Further a pattern of behavior to conceal material information from the public is found in arrangements with the National Inquirer "capture and kill" practice on behalf of Mr Trump. Again, you might be too stupid to understand, or too callous or immoral to care about such matters. Trump's fear is that that is not the case for many Americans.
