Any deep stuff. Then, very early in that game we bomb them deep for a touchdown. They were completely unprepared for it and then they were scrambling trying to figure out what we were going to do next.
It is the absolute definition of what sandbagging is.
Now, what you are alluding to, is the idea that we hadn’t shown anything deep and then perhaps we came out early in that game and spent the first half trying to establish the ground game or the short stuff with them crowding the line of scrimmage before we attempted to go over the top.
If that was our game plan, then you would be correct that forcing them to prepare for some deep stuff ahead of time would have been smart. That very clearly was not the game planned and therefore the idea that we were sandbagging holds a lot of water.
