Just like MBB, softball at Mizzou was built by a special coach totally committed to
Mizzou/Missouri. Not wanting to debate Earleywhine’s flaws but he made softball matter at MU, just like Norm made hoops matter. LA has done a decent job of keeping it relevant. Will be interesting to see if it wanes as the years go by without going to WCWS or winning any SEC tourneys or reg. season titles like EE did?
