A sting, that is.
No solid, provable accusations here - just some thoughts of how a small group of people might quite easily and without any serious, lasting consequences make themselves big fat piles of cash.
The AD to hire and then provide the financial security to where the coach wouldn't be paying any immediate price for such abysmal results. 25 mil anyone.
A coach to make sure the proper guys are on the floor at the critical times to guarantee a losing result - also keeping all others down through sporadic playing time and when they are on the floor offensive and defensive systems that severely limit their effect on the game.
Lastly the 4 players who again and again and again are plenty good enough against almost any competition - until, that is, that point later in the game where they all just seem to lose it for an incredibly devastating 3 or 4 minute stretch.
The AD gently lands in a job and place where she'd much rather be.
The coach is still here to potentially redeem himself with a highly ranked recruiting class - this horrific season written off by fans and his employer in years to come as just an unfortunate fluke.
3 of the players off to other pursuits with financial resources now that will make life so much easier. Professional overseas basketball still even a possibility as they showed good, solid talent for 3 fourths of every game. The 4th guy with the option of moving on wherever he wants or coming back and playing for Mizzou again.
Just some thoughts and ideas surrounding what would be a most incredible work, such a beautiful thing to see. No downside to it at all for this small group of half a dozen. Only losers being Mizzou fans and then those on the downside moneywise of the 19 rigged outcomes.
If only one of these people involved had lived and worked in Vegas for several years. That'd be as weird as every other thing we've seen this basketball season.
