That's not realistic in ivf.

The reason so many are fertilized at once is because there is risk that once frozen, the embryos don't survive the thaw. In addtion, not all fertilized eggs develop into embryos. Finally, implanting multiple embryos doesn't guarantee multiple fetuses.
The science to accomplish all this is fantastic, but it's not infallible. That's why multiple embryos are required.
