holding him out the rest of the season due to an injury he suffered prior to the season so he could get a medical redshirt.

I know it's a longshot because the NCAA is inept that's what the FBI would call a clue. A month ago Grill was 2 weeks from returning and now Gates says he isn't ready.

He appears to be gaming the medical redshirt rules to get another year out of two players he needs next season.
