detail, but the lawyers discussing the possible rationale were speaking to how a justice may view the federal government's need to access the border and if such barriers could be accessed/removed had states constructed them for reasons that may be more troubling. Thought that if a more specific case came about there could be a different ruling.

Again, since there were no specifics provided in the short 2 paragraph decision it is speculation.
