unless you are on a tight schedule and with airlines you have to plan that it might not work out anyway

I drove 9 to Dallas. It is over my normal limit but ticket prices were over $800 for a 5am flight both ways

Less tired driving and getting decent sleep. Did pay for $105 Holiday Inn hotel but was able to make some personal and work calls to make time useful. $180 in gas and had all my tailgate stuff with me
