also frequent Round Spring. There is another group on the Jack's Fork and then a third around Two Rivers.
The story is during the Depression several farmers turned their horses out and they are now feral herds. And people will occasionally turn a horse loose when they can no longer care for it.
We saw one herd grazing at the cluster camp sites at Round Spring one fall. Some foals were in the herd and the stallion was watching us so we didn't get very close.
