that. Perception is reality. Leaving the SEC out would lead people to think the best team wasn't given a chance whether that was the case or not. The SEC has won 70% of the NC's over the past 2 decades. What does it mean if texas beats Bama early but has a worse loss later in the season? OSU has the best loss of the one loss teams and is in a tougher conference. There's no great solution if things go sideways but totally leaving the SEC out would make the championship questionable IMO.
