inclined to support police against criminals. However, there have been many incidents where cops raided the wrong address and they killed innocent citizens. At minimum those cops should have been charged and convicted of 2nd degree murder, manslaughter or negligent homicide, just as any citizen would have been if the tables were turned.
Reportedly, Killen PD was serving an arrest warrant on Mr. Guy. I assume this means he had not yet been convicted of crimes associated with the warrant. IOW, he was innocent until proven guilty. Why didn't they call Mr. Guy's attorney and ask that he peaceably surrender to authorities? It seems to me the LE community should expect a hostile response and learn to accept the consequences when they employ these no-knock tactics. It is entirely reasonable for a citizen to defend their home, their person and their family using deadly force.
